I love when projects give you just a bit more than expected. I made this quilt using the "Eden" Collection from Lila Tueller for Moda. Using the "Jump Rope" Pattern by Stitch Studios. Great pattern to follow, easy to do & produces a nice size quilt at 56x72 inches!

I had enough jelly roll strips left over to make this sweet little runner for spring! I used the "Little Charmers 5" pattern by Anka's Treasures. I had to plan out the colors and placement of prints carefully but it was fun to be creative.I machine quilted it using Free-motion quilting technique with a stippling design. Both projects got a scrappy binding! Finding small projects like this are a great way to use up scraps from bigger projects!

this is the year of the baby! last week i finished up 3 baby gifts & gave them to their precius recipiants.

baby judah. hasn't made his appearance yet. but any time now... he is getting a island theme nursery. so i created this with some fabrics straight from Hawaii! paired up with a nice kaiki kona solid. i machine quilted it with very simple clean lines. just for judah. hurry up little boy...we can't wait to meet you!

this little stroller blanket was made for baby noah. he made his appearance earlier this year but didn't want us to know he was a boy. made from michael miller prints and backed with grey minkie. i hand-embroidered the patch. just right for noah.

sweet little georgia & noah are cousins. born just a few days apart! this little girl is not a pink girl! but that gave me reason to use this gorgeous fabric. I used this pattern. changed out the chenille for ruffles. backed with super soft ribbed minkie. girly, but not pink. just right for georgia girl. and let me tell ya, she is a little peach. tiny and adorable.

I made this fun quilt for a silent auction benefiting a team going to Romania this month to do missions work.

I used an entire Jelly Roll (minus a few strips - see backside).

To widen it just a little I added borders only on the side. I raw-edge appliqued the flower. Free-motion quilted with stippling. Backed with Kona Solid {available here}.

I love this adorable tutorial from Allison over at Cluck Cluck Sew.

I haven't made it but I plan to. I am making this quilt right now. And I will have some scraps left over for at least one pillow!

These are loads of fun and a great project to perfect your machine/ hand applique on....Lord knows I just got my fill of practice today! Girl's Night Out - Abundantly Blessed

Over at Strawberry Patches (my home, not so far away from my real home) there are BIG things happening! First, we are moving to a larger location...and thus giving us the chance to do one of my favorite things...remodel/ revamp/ reorganize/ redecorate. No matter what word you use...it will be fun, crazy busy, a lot of work, & insanely cool!

I am excited about that. We are doubling the size of our class room so I am also excited because I am now joining the teaching team. In April, I am offering Abundantly Blessed.

This easy, peasy table topper is fast and fun...with a cozy raw edge (ubber popular these days). I will teach you how to match up those ever-wondering corners, how to quilt-as-you-go, and how to reconfigure it to create table runners, lap quilts. Use any colors to suit your taste!

This will be a 4-hr Friday night class, girl's night out...with food and drinks!!!

Favorite Patterns - The Eco market Bag

I LOVE projects that can be completed, start to finish, in ONE sitting(roughly, 2+ hrs)! Hubs took the oldest to a skate night for school, the youngest vegged with a movie and I got to SEW!

I love this pattern. It is the Eco Market Tote by Favorite Things, you can find it here. Easy to follow, easy to sew...love it all! I also adore fun fabrics! SP has some fun prints that would make adorable diaper bags. The look of this bag can change dramatically depending what fabric you use.

I chose to use this heavier canvas print. Burlap, Twill, Cotton prints...anything goes. I used fusible interfacing for added durability but it isn't necessary when using heavier material. Using Cotton Webbing makes handles a breeze. I even added pockets in a snap, without any stress!

I know. I know.

I swore to myself I would buy no more ANYTHING until I got projects done...BUT...c'mon, it takes so much less time to buy than it does to make! HA!

After seeing this quilt, made from Hello Betty by MODA...I was tempted to find a wondering layer cake of this older, fun, retro line.

You are pretty tough to find. After a search on www.quiltshops.com, I located ONE layer cake!

I resisted. Quite successfully I might add!

Theeeennnn...Emily came into the store to visit and I was chatting about this cute quilt I saw on CLUCK CLUCK SEW. And she had me convinced...I had to go buy it. I arrived not too long ago and I plan to use this fun tool...TWISTER..to make a fun "pinwheel" quilt. This fun tool is available at Strawberry Patches! Aren't these colors yummy!?

A Raffle for "HOPE"

I have the privilege of working with amazing people. One being my boss.

Last year, her son was diagnosed with ALS. She has been traveling back
and forth to visit and help take care of her son and grandsons.

One of our favorite fabric companies creates a line of fabric each year
...and donates all proceeds to a cause. This year it it ALS. Amazing how God orchestrates these things!

We wanted to make Suzanne a quilt and
make a second one to raffle off. The fabric would not be shipped out
till Sept. Our rep was able to get two kits and MODA donated all of
it!!!

We all got together and sewed them up. We presented it to Suzanne this last weekend.

We have the other one up for raffle in our store. All proceeds from the
raffle go straight to the ALS Association. Suzanne's grandson has
started a fund and our money will be added to that fund. Tickets are

A sweet girl that I have know since she was in Jr. High just had her first little one! I can't believe that she is already old enough to be a mommy! She named her little one Paisley...how fun is that!? I hand-embroidered her name and rough-appliqued it to the Drag-Along.

I got all the material at work. I can't wait to meet this little one!

I am cleaning out my sewing room...and like any room in my house, it is subject to becoming the resting spot for random sewing projects. I have accumulated some interesting things and am ready to organize get rid of some stuff...much of it unused!

TUTORIAL: Embellishing onesies with fabric/ yarn goodies.

To make these:

You will need these things (all available at Strawberry Patches):

Pick a neutral color cotton thread or a color that matches the onesie that you are sewing on.

Some hand-crocheted patches and fabric flowers.

Some of these lovely, thick and durable onesies by LOVE'D BABY.

Getting Started:

First: load up your bobbin with cotton thread.

Then thread your machine with Monofil (it's clear and can't be seen on top of the patches).

Next, get you machine ready:

Lower the Feed Dogs (this give you control over moving the onesie and eliminates the need to twist and turn the onesie around. Remove the tray if you can. Use your free-motion quilting foot for this project.

Now, pick your patch and onesie. Unbutton the onesie on the shoulder or on the bottom.

Pin down your patch. It doesn't take much but helps keep things straight.

Put the onesie on your machine, be sure that you are not sewing through both sides. And begin sewing.

On this one, I followed the green stitch. Remember that you are in control of moving everything through the machine, so keep it going. No sudden jerks and take it slow.

When your done, remove the pins and TA-DA, you have a sweet, unique gift! Have fun!

My first Rough Applique.

It's not called "Rough" because it's rough on the creator, but because it has rough edges.

I hand-embroidered my favorite character, "The Little Prince", onto a piece of thick twill. Twill works nice because it doesn't need stabilizer like other light-weight fabrics. I then cut him out and machine stitched him to this onesie (Love'd Baby, available at Strawberry Patches, along with all other supplies).

I love how it turned out. I will be using clip-art and my new book of stitches, a Rainbow of Stitches to create lots of new things. All finished onesies will be available at our online store!

I made them big enough to hold a travel-size wipes and a few diapers, these will make some good baby shower gifts! They also work great for holding little toys, like legos.

I made these fun new Drag Along Blankets this week. I used pieces of old jeans & corduroy and some of my favorite new fabrics.

I am a sucker for anything Paris and these Eiffel Towers are my fav!

This blankee is fit for a new little prince! Hand embroidered with a hand-drawn crown. This 9-patch is made with houndstooth, minkee, corduroy, and re-purposed jeans. Trimmed with fringed corduroy.

Baby Shower Gifts -- Drag Alongs!

I am off to a baby shower but wanted to show you these adorable Drag Alongs I made for the babies. They were so fun to make and I am loving using unique fabrics....corduroy and old blue jeans!

I found this fabric at an Antique faire. I was a set of curtains.

Think outside the BOX.....

I spent yesterday afternoon working on a fun project idea I had ( I am sure I am not the first to have it). I got the idea to make personalized boxes a while back for my nieces and nephews to hold all kinds of things. I just haven't taken to time to actually do it...until now. THIS is the finished product!

Kinda cute, eh? It's for my nephew Corben, who is having his 2nd birthday party tomorrow! We have filled this goodie box with art supplies and activities just for him. I chose a nice mature polka dot (not too crazy) because I happen to know that mom likes dots!

I started with a decorative box from Micheal's. They are cheaper than buying the card board ones for decorating, just be sure to use a fabric that doesn't show through. I then used "Steam-a-Seam" or fusible webbing...this idea came from my boss, Suzanne, at Strawberry Patches (she doing a great tutorial on this kinda stuff, be sure to check it out!). The fusible webbing worked marvelously and was so easy to do! No waiting for it to dry! I added a few fun embellishments and TA-DA! I wanted to put his name on top with scrabble squares, but when I was going through my stash (look for old games at garage sales, antique, and thrift shops OR purchase replacement sets online) I had all but one letter....oh well! It's still very cute.

This was my first one, I suspect it won't be my last!

Project Ideas: Larger Boxes would make adorable dress-up boxes. Smaller boxes would make great LEGO storage!

My friend, Carol, asked me to finish a few projects for her this year. One was a pillow, made out of a tee-shirt that her and a friend had gotten on a recent trip to England. She wanted a toss pillow for her friend that she has travelled with. I trimmed it with a groovy print and satin ruffle. Very Cool!

Bethany was in my wedding over 9 years ago, she is all grown up now and majoring in dance! For Christmas I was asked to make a custom quilt for her using fabric her mom had found a while ago. This print was gorgeous, filled with dancers! I backed it with sage green Minkee for super softness! Quilted using Free motion technique. This came out as one gorgeous quilt!

Another fun custom order -- Yee-Haw Cowboy!

This fun order came from the store. We get customers in who need baby bedding and sometimes just some baby goodies. This set of bedding was made with a cute western theme and so my job was to make some burp cloths and some Drag Alongs (patterns available at Strawberry Patches).

Burpie Blankies are typically made with a print, chenille, some fun trim and backed with soft minkee. As you can see, creative license can be taken to switch things up!

These drag alongs were so cute! The customer wanted to different ones but wanted to stick to the Cowboy theme. We monogramed one of them to make it personal and sweet! Drag Alongs are made with squares of cotton fabric, but you can also incorporate minkee or chenille for texture.

Tag Blankets for Mattie Moose!

My dear friend Pam came into the store to visit with me and asked if I could make a few new Tag-Alongs fro her youngest Matthew (Mattie Moose). Sentimental Vintage...

I am not a sentimental person...for the most part, however, I love to make things that become sentimental for others. Here's the story...
A few weeks back...back in October, I was visiting with our next door neighbors, Jim and Colleen (AKA - honorary grandparents to our boys! And they take this role seriously!). We were chatting about quilts and Colleen asked if I could make her something to give to her granddaughter for Christmas. I replied "Absolutely". She then took me to her guest bedroom and showed me a quilt that was a family heirloom and just beautifully made. Hand Appliqued Butterflies! The entire quilt probably originated in the 30's. What a treasure!

A few days pass and I am visited our annual Peddler's Faire here in town and as always am on the look out for quilt squares, I almost always find one set a year. I spied a sweet little bundle under a pillow....nearly missing this treasure...

Would you believe it...I found Hand appliqued Butterfly squares! Just like the ones on Colleen's quilt! I quickly purchased them and set out for home, ran next door right away to show Colleen (Miss C'ween, as my boys call her). They were just perfect for her granddaughter and now they would have matching quilts. So, I assembled them using a nice buttery yellow, reminicent of the 30's. It has been mailed off and found a new home this Christmas!

USC for Ethan!

My friend Natalie has been asking for anything USC related for her little one. I finally found something I liked...ribbon. So sweet little Ethan is getting a taggie in a few days with mommy and daddy's favorite school theme (Daddy graduated from there!)

Aprons for DeAnn's Triplets

My good friend DeAnn came with an order for three aprons for three special little two-year olds that she was planning on doing some Christmas baking with. Upon visiting Facebook this morning, I found these adorable pics and looks like these aprons came in handy!
The aprons are fully lined and reversible. Meaning...they are double-sided. DeAnn came into the shop to pick out some fabric and we decided to do the same cupcake (just came in that day!) print on the front and then picked a different color polka dot for each girl for the back of the aprons. I had just enough left over to make them each their own matching place mat! So adorable and looks like they had tons of fun! Thanks DeAnn, glad I could help!

Custom Orders -- Lap Quilts (updated with the rest of them!)

I was recently asked to make several lap quilts and other gifts as a custom order. Here are the first 3! My goal is to be done with everything by Dec. 1st.

Two of these quilts were made using the a Turning Twenty Pattern bt Tricia Cribbs. She has several books and uses Fat Quarters for these quilts. I couldn't attend a baby shower this weekend for dear friends Carolina and Chester but I was able to send a gift to them via mom. Although I had to over-look to complete lack of consideration on their part for not finding out what they are having (just kidding)....I compensated by being inspired by Crayons and created them some fun things!

First, a Crayon Crazy Quilt. My own design. Backed with the best minkee in the world (available at Strawberry Patches!). Each piece is embroidered with a fun stitch!

Next, some fun, coordinating burp cloths.

Lastly, a fun Take-along stroller blanket. Backed with minkee, topped with black and white polka-dot and trimmed with colorful ribbons!

Quilt for Dad

My dad is a plant geneticist for cotton...I know...do you get smarter than that??? The science gene wasn't passed to me for sure! But I have been slowly making everyone in my family a quilt and dad got his (sort of ) back in July, for his birthday. I had finished the top but had not quilted and finished the binding. Unfortunately, as many of us know, projects get set aside and picked back up later. I claim that he had no need for it until it got cold!

Well....I finally finished it! The cotton fabric is all "natural" looking with a leaf print, pieced using a pattern form the Turning Twenty collection. Backed with chocolate brown minkee and machine quilted using free-motion technique. Finished up with binding.

Finished just in time for winter!

I have to welcome my friend Megan's sweet baby girl to the world! She is so adorable and precious. As mentioned in a previous post, I made Megan (who owns horses) a baby quilt made with soft brown minkee, chenille, bandana print, and a FUN Cowgirl Print (by Robert Kaufman)!

<- It all started with this quilt!
Meg fell in love with the cowgirls and decided very shortly after the shower to toss all her baby bedding and start new! She called me up and I was honored to create her one-of-a-kind baby bedding to match the quilt. The bumper is all one piece, trimmed with cream-colored eyelet lace. The inner-side of the bumper is cowgirls and the outer-side is RED corduroy!!!!

The crib skirt was made with flat panels, all four corners opened to allow for crib legs and one simple pleat to make it nice and neat!

This was so, so fun to put together and make. I hope to offering crib bedding by the first of the year in our online store, KinderHaus Blankets.

Tee-Shirt Quilt for Christmas...Sssh!

I was commissioned to create a custom Tee-Shirt Quilt for a friend to give to her husband for Christmas. It is made from all his Triathalon Tee-Shirts.

Sashing and border is solid brown Kona Fabric. Machine quilted using free-motion quilting technique. Backed with a fun print in BOY-ish colors! I had one extra 13th tee-shirt an opted to place it on the back, as it was the only "run" to raise money for missions and stood out to me as very special and needed it's on spot!

Upon delivering it to her, she exclaimed (in her sweet, quiet Beth way), "Ha, I won this Christmas...I told him to just get me a sweater!"

Katie the Pink Princess

My niece, Katie spent the last few weeks here and I told her that I would treat her to her Halloween costume. At first, she wanted to be Sully "Kitty" (the big blue monster from Monsters Inc.) but after not finding that costume or blue fur & a pattern to make it, I showed her a princess costume pattern! She immediately agreed and like two peas in a pod, we had a marvelous time picking out fabric. I am amazed at how much pink & sparkles grab her eye, just the way they do mine!

Made with crushed velvet and with long sleeves (New Hampshire is really cold by Oct 31st!) and LOTS of layers of pink sparkle toole!

Assembly wasn't as tough as I had thought it would be, I think it looks good for a first go at it! I don't think I will make a regular habit of making costumes but it was fun...I even did a nice job of installing the zipper!

Here is the finished product...shipped off today with a trick-or-treat bag, ready to do some damage in the neighborhood! Get lots of treats my dear Katie...see you at Christmas! Tell mommy to be sure to take pictures!

This quilt started out as a vintage, hand-embroidered table cloth that I found at an Antique Store in Cambria. Since I have discovered that I don't have the patience to sit and create this beautiful needlework, I thought it would be a great idea to "up-cycle" old table cloths.

Pieced with 1930's Reproduction Prints. This quilt is 100% Cotton. Machine quilted using free-motion technique.

I have been mulling over the idea of taking my business, KinderHaus Blankets, to another level and going full time with it. For me that includes adding on to my sewing room to maximize workspace and storage, upgrading my sewing machines, and shopping in LA fabric district.

One of 3 of these is happening very soon. In a few weeks I get to enjoy a guided trip down south with a friend to visit and scope out the land of beautiful fabric!

I have been praying and praying about this. I am finding PASSION rising up in me for sewing and fabric and colors. I am LOVING coming up with my own new designs. I have to admit that in my life I have prayed about things before and never received much affirmation. However, I love seeing outright answers to prayer! When I started KinderHaus, I thought it was just going to fulfill my need for being creative. I never thought that it would grow and become popular. I have learned so much about business and setting up my web site and working with the internet.

This last few weeks, I have been praying that I would get a "for sure" answer about whether or not I need to be spending my time on this business. I love to do it, but I have a family to care for and being on one income for the last few years is very tough and I am feeling the need to go back to work, but my baby is just starting pre-school and I am not ready to put him in full time. I get to do everything from home and I love that!

In the midst of these prayers I have had ideas brewing in my mind about what I want to do. One thing I started was participating in the local Quilt Shop (Strawberry Patches) club. I plan to take some classes and try some new patterns, but most of all I wanted to be around people who share my passion for creativity. I could not believe the love and support I received attending my first club night. The owner, Suzanne, blessed me immensely with encouragement to pursue this adventure! Such confirmation!

Then, within this time, last week, I was contacted by an acquaintance (who is becoming a wonderful friend), who wants to carry my items in a boutique here in town! Upon hearing that I wanted to get down to LA to shop for fabric, she volunteered to take me and guide me through! I almost started to cry because I was so happy! So, be ready for some new fabrics in a few weeks!

I cannot express how excited I am. Every time I think about it I get giddy and butterflies in my stomach! AH! I am sensing a strong "GO FOR IT!" answer from God and that is being confirmed by so many doors being opened and unexpected blessings of encouragement! This is insanely exciting and a little scary because I don't know what the end result looks like but I'm gonna trust that it will be good.

Thank you ladies for allowing yourselves to be used to encourage me and open doors for my adventure! You are so loved and treasured.

Most of all, thank you Lord for answering prayers....can't wait to see the end result!

I created this nice, simple, but colorful baby quilt for my store. Constructed from hand-picked reproduction prints, pieced with white and a peachy tulip print. This is colorful but also classic. It is a throw-back to days in the 1930's, enveloping vintage and retro.

My small business wishlist...

So, now that I have been working on this home-business thing for a while I have come up with quite a wishlist!

Here are the things that I will someday have (in no particular importance):

1. My own computer, just for KinderHaus!
2. A new camera. I love my little one and after a lot of practice I have learned how to take better pictures despite the simplicity of our little powershot! But a more updated, higher pixel one would be awesome!
3. A new sewing studio added on to our house!
4. A commercial serger.
5. A paycheck! Ha Ha!
6. A housekeeper...to do my laundry and vacuuming so I can sew!!!

Sunbonnet Sue For Savannah Grace!

Two new nieces are coming this next month! The first is
Savannah Grace!

This quilt was made by Auntie Kara out of Sunbonnet Sue squares that Jam found at an Antique Peddler's Faire a couple years ago. We were waiting for the perfect time and reason to put them into a quilt! We have enough squares to eventually give to each niece!

I pieced each square with 1930's reproduction print fabrics that I handpicked. Reproduction prints are my absolute favorite and I plan on using them more! They are so classic!

I quilted the quilt using free-motion machine quilting technique and them finished with simple binding!

Elise and Annalie will be great big sisters!

International, International!

I was pleased last night to find that I had a nice sized order from a woman in Croatia!

This is not the first time that I have shipped International. I have shipped to Singapore, Canada (many times), and Great Britain to name a few. Croatia just adds to the list! I think I am going to create a map to keep track

of all my wonderful international sales and watch as my business grows around the U.S. and the world!

I think I let out a little squeal when I finished this new item up today! I found a similar apron while shopping at the coast, but it wasn't lined (double-sided) and not finished the way my perfectionist self would do! I used the other apron as a sizing guide but came up with this wonderful piece of cuteness! I am so happy with how these turned out....so happy in fact that I jumped up and down!

Introducing KinderHaus Diaper bags!

So I have a huge fear of patterns. I am mostly self-taught (and a few good pointers from my mother-in-law!) when it comes to sewing. I have been wanting to make a diaper bag and introduce it into my store for a long time. I knew that it would begin with a pattern and then with a few good tweeks, it would become my own.

My dear friend, Linda came over and we worked on some special projects. She is so much like me when it comes to being creative! She makes her own patterns and likes the nice details, liked finished edges. She doesn't like reading patterns either but between the two of us, we knew we could figure this out. She helped me go step by step, assembling this nice pattern. We added a pocket and changed the handle and made it our own. This is my finished product after today!

This bag is smaller than most diaper bags and perfect for carrying just the necessities! Durable and made from machine washable cotton and corduroy!

I plan to embellish the next ones more and add cute details! I have lots of cute prints for the lining and some awesome corduroy for the outside. Wait till you see the embellishments!

For My Katie Girl

I made this quilt for my niece, Katie Annabelle. She has a special place in my heart. Because of complications she was born 12 weeks early and despite all odds survived and fought! Even now at 3 YEARS OLD, she is strong! Prayers were answered over the years and she is now healthy and just absolutely beautiful! She is an absolute joy, blessing, and reminder of miracles!

I made this quilt last Christmas for my youngest brother, Mark. He is ultra-cool (or so he thinks)! I kept telling him that I had fabric to make a quilt for him, of course it took me forever to get started on it.

It is pieced with fabric squares I bought in Hawaii and backed with super-soft Minkie.

Finally, I did it and presented it to him. I later heard from mom that he said, "It is way cooler than I thought it was gonna be". Just for that I think I should make him a really gaudy, pink one! Hey, I'll take whatever compliment comes my way!

I just finished these two lovely quilts for my friend Pam. Her hubby is a firefighter and so she requested two, twin-size quilts for her son's bunk bed. Backed with minky and Free-motion quilted, they are durable and so soft.
They come with matching pillowcases and a matching window valance!

I am working on some quilts this week and hope to finish up! One for my dad, it was a birthday present but I needed to finish it. It is getting quilted in the next 2 days along with a quilt I made for my own bed.

I am also finishing up a special order for my friend Pam! Two Firemen Quilts, twin size. They are looking so very cool! Pics will be up soon!

Finally, I need to work on a few things for my store. I am working on listing pillow cases in my store and brainstorming a couple prototypes of some Plush Friends that will be joining KinderHaus soon!

I will post pics of everything after I finish hibernating in my sewing room/ cave! HA HA HA!

My personal projects...

My mound of personal projects is ever growing bigger and bigger. I like to think that one of these days I will do what my mother-in-law started doing a few years ago and actually finish a project before I start a new one. I can't really blame having my own business or children, because I have always done this. I guess it is one of the down-sides of being creative!

I have made a personal goal this summer to get a few personal projects done. SO, yesterday I finished piecing a Queen size quilt for my mom's guest bedroom and today I finished the top of a quilt for my bedroom! Made with fabric from MODA, it is so pretty!

Now, I am excited to finish it!

Good Morning Sales!

I am learning the ins and outs of business through owning KinderHaus Blankets. I am naturally just the creative type and am happy to be that. Some have asked me if I have made a business plan and all that...holy cow, I am just happy to get some items listed and haven't thought about whether they will sell tomorrow, next week, or next month!

I have owned my business for almost 3 years now, the first 2 I spent fine-tuning my product. This last year has been spent establishing myself on ETSY and stocking my online store. I have set up this blog, advertise on twitter, myspace, facebook, etc, etc. I have created adn am ordering a 2009 Photo catalogue that displays all of my available products! Now in just under a year I have had over 225 sales on Etsy alone, not including my mom and friends who rummage through my stock for baby shower gifts! Etsy has become my favorite place and I plan on only selling there. I don't have the time to juggle several online marketplaces, one is enough. I have also enjoyed selling wholesale and getting my prduct out there to brick and mortar stores...I plan on doing much more of that this next year.

All this said, I have learned that there are several things that I love about doing this:

#1) I OWN MY BUSINESS! It's mine, no one else's. I created it from the ground up!

#2) I hand-craft my own products! I LOVE being creative and often find myself sacrificing laundry to be creative! Hee-Hee!

#3) I ADORE waking up and checking my store and finding SALES! It is like drinking an instant cup of coffee!

#4) I love boxing up orders and seeing my stock grow smaller (so does my hubby!). I have this weird love of getting rid of things and seeing my products being shipped around the world is SO exhilarating.

#5) I love the contacts I have made from everywhere and hearing stories of where my blankets are going! Some have emailed me stories of blankets going to preemie babies (they are close to my heart) and babies of Military soldiers. Some are simply buying for themselves and their new bundles of joy, but I hear the stories of how much those babies are loved!

So, needless to say, I love my store. It is a lot of time, I technically never have a day off and it is a lt of work to find fabric and hand-craft items. But above everything, it is wonderfully fulfilling and SO much fun!
